The Tutor - Catherine Kingzett
After completing a Creative Embroidery City & Guilds course in 2005, I opened my workshop “One Fat Quarter” in September 2009 in Nailsworth, Glos. It was a place for me to work and share my love of sewing. I have been stitching and teaching ever since, working from home since May 2015. My workshop was part of the SIT Select Trail for several years.
I love colour and creating backgrounds to stitch into and to create texture with layers and stitch. My work is a mixture of hand and machine stitching, sometimes mixing applique, traditional hand embroidery stitches and machine embroidery.
Workshop Cost
The workshop will cost a one off payment of £90 to include most materials.
Places are not considered booked without the receipt of a £90 workshop cost which is
non refundable or transferable.
Please note that for the Machine Embroidery workshops you will need a sewing machine - in good working order please. Your machine must be able to drop or cover the feed dogs as well as have zig zag stitch, others if possible. (Don’t forget to bring the foot pedal!) and instruction manual for machine (just in case).
